Cowgirl Cornmeal-Pecan Financiers

Tuesdays with Dorie
Baking Chez Moi

Our second Financiers from Baking Chez Moi. This southern take on a French dessert is made with ground pecans, cornmeal and butter, lots of butter. This is quite a rich dessert and one was quite satisfying. My mini-muffin pan made about 24 with a tablespoon and a half scoop. To see what others thought, head over to Tuesdays with Dorie.

  2. I thought them quite rich as well ...thank goodness they're small.

  3. I found these rich yet at the same time light and delicate. When they were warm that is! They were much more dense as they grew cold. I think I was surprised by how good they tasted!

  4. Yes they are rich but SO good! Mine were tiny in my muffin tins though so I felt justified to eat 2!
